Good Morning Vocal Families!

Lots going on in this final quarter of the school year…  Our Pops show is just one month away!  Tickets will go on sale the beginning of next month.  I’ll be sending out an email with details on how to purchase tickets in a few weeks.  Please be mindful of the following important rehearsals…

Monday, April 22nd-2:30-4:30

Monday, May 6th-2:30-4:30

Monday, May 13th-2:30-5:00 Dressed in POPS concert attire

Students are asked to dress within a color scheme for the pops show.  The colors are black, purple, maroon and grey.  Any shade of these colors and any clothes that are appropriate for school.  Jeans with no holes are fine to.  I’ve discussed attire with every class, so they should have a good understanding of what is expected.  Also, the treble singers need an outfit that is yellow, white or both.  Jeans are fine with this attire as well.  

CONCERT- Thursday, May 16th-Call for soloists-5:30, all other singers-6:00

I want to take a moment to congratulate our Williamsburg participants on their 4th place SUPERIOR rating at Music in the Parks!  This small ensemble of 18 students was primarily composed of Freshmen students!  They sounded amazing!  A huge congratulations to Lillian Wright who was awarded Best Vocalist in all categories!!!!

I’ve missed these music trips so much!  It is a chance to really bond outside of the classroom.  That is so important to our program.  Your students were so fun to be around!  I hope they had as much fun as I did!!
